Have I bitten off more than I can read?

March 8, 2011 by Anna 5 Comments

I just finished this book for Book Club, about a murdered 14-year-old watching the goings-on on earth that follow her death, and it was interesting but I’m not lining up to see the movie, being less than a fan of movie-book adaptations in general:

The Lovely Bones

Now I have to read this beautiful beast by March 19, a mere 959 pages:

Gone With The Wind

And this one by April 4, one I’ve been meaning to read for ages and am very much looking forward to:

Freakonomics Large Print

And I’m supposed to already be 3/4 done this one for school so I can write a paper on it, but have yet to start…:

Crazy

So you will understand if I don’t bathe my house or dust my children.

I enjoyed Freakanomics. For one, I enjoy Economics. and for two, it is actually interesting. Enjoyable, I think you’d like it. But then again, you took an English Lit class in high school while I took an Economics class…..

Have fun! :) I hate being an English major without any time to read. :P And Irene, I LOVE The Shadow of the Wind! The sequel, The Angel’s Game, is amazing too. I may be biased because I really want to go to Barcelona, but the setting and atmosphere Zafon creates are so beautiful!

Lol, you make me laugh Anna. Don’t make me feel guilty for making you read Gone with the Wind! It will be worth it.

No one notices when the children get dusty.

You will like Freakonomics, I think, and it’s a surprisingly easy read. Gone with the Wind is SO LONG but SO GREAT (but SORT OF EXHAUSTING, because it’s hot and the war and Ashley Wilkes and you have to make your clothes out of curtains).
