My mom called me the other day to ask whether I could send her a picture of all 4 of my kids together. It seems her independent-grandkid framing days are over, as the number continues to grow and shelf space has its limits. It seems like a simple enough request, but I immediately knew my answer: “Nope”.
It’s not that I’m determined to have my kids be the favourites, an individual 8×10 apiece on Grandma’s shelf. I just don’t have a single picture of all 4 of them together. Realizing this, I made an attempt.
Ok, we’ve got a couple, even if there is laundry in the background and an errant ladies’ shoe in the foreground – you guys stay there!
One more, and the ladies’ shoes successfully out of the frame…just hang tight a minute…looking good…
And the most elusive one, rounded up! Just squeeze in there, say cheese…no, DON’T haul Gemma over, not right now, just sit…oh never mind.
There’s a reason we don’t have a picture of themĀ all together, I remember now. More practice needed before we’re Christmas card ready, that’s for sure ;)

Funny :) ‘A’ for effort :) Just one correction though…I do still have individual pictures (5X7, not 8X10) of each grandchild on the shelf, but on ANOTHER shelf I have an 8X10 wedding picture for each couple and a 5X7 family shot, along with a 5X7 kids together, sans parents, shot. Except for yours…keep trying :)
