This sweet little man, as much as I sometimes fear he’s a bit too attached to his mama (but then, who wouldn’t be ;)), is the world’s best little helper. At 3 years old, he’s reasonably proficient at everything from vacuuming to sorting and folding laundry to emptying the dishwasher. He spends his days asking if there’s anything he can help with, and whether this means dragging in groceries, setting the table, or cleaning up toys like a machine, he virtually never says no. In fact, on days when he has to nap, he first exacts a promise that I won’t dust or do the laundry without him.
One of his favourite things to help with, much to my delight, is baking and cooking, especially making one of his favourite foods: pizza.
All this help makes me feel a lot better about having a fourth baby, especially when one of things he’s willing to help with is keeping his little brother busy when I’m making breakfast or taking a nap, and whatever this baby is I’m sure he will be an adored big brother again.
I really can’t resist that cheeky little face with his big blue eyes that show every emotion. He makes my day, every day, with his big words, big personality, and extra big heart.
