Oh, Pinterest.

Bloggoooooons!

I have missed you.

I don’t know how people do this blogging thing all on their lonesome, holding sole responsibility for living an interesting life, cooking and baking interesting things, and also posting about their shenanigans!  I’m so thankful to be doing this with Chelsea so I can disappear for a week and you can still be entertained and lured with food!

Where did I disappear to, you ask?

Oh, nowhere, really. I’ve been here, at home, TEARING MY HAIR OUT. But I’m ok.

My group presentation has come and gone, and was largely successful I’d say, as group projects go. No one dropped out of the course the day of the assignment due date, for instance (believe me, it happened).  The professor did not confess to assigning group projects for the fun of watching “Survivor”-esque showdowns and group dissolutions (believe me, it happened). So yes, all in all, arguably the best group I’ve ever been a part of.

My 2000-word research paper on first names (yes, hello, horrible lame topic with no reputable source information) has been written and sent off to my fabulous mother to be made sense of and to become worthy of an A.

My interventions project remains on the backburner as I try to determine whether I need anger management training, assertiveness training, or help refuting irrational ideas or anxiety (all of the above NOT being an option, clever reader).

I still have small children that don’t allow anything remotely to-do-listy to get done during daylight hours. I should start peppering my to-do list with things like “change diapers”, “encourage Kafe to grow more teeth”, “do the Hokey Pokey”; I would look much more productive crossing things off left, right and center.

I have so many delicious recipes to share with you, but, story of my life, I was distracted by Pinterest.  If you don’t follow me on Pinterest, may I recommend that you maintain that status?  Unless you like to be in the know.  Or if you like funny things, yummy things, and pretty things.  But if you follow me you’ve probably seen everything I’m sharing with you today.  Although really, these things only get funnier or truer with increased exposure.

Exhibit A: Pretty much what my mouth would say followed by what my head would think.

Exhibit C: Did you know I wear glasses? Well, contacts, usually…this is why:

Enjoy, and I’ll be back in force next week. Except my fabulous editing mother is here next week, so I take it back.  I’ll be back in force.

When the force is with me.

(Whaaaat. I’ve never seen Star Wars. I’m sorry.)

Oh Anna, never seen Star Wars? How is that possible? First my husband introduced me and now all of my boys are obsessed. I can’t even fathom a Star Wars free zone. I might need to visit you soon.

PS I have canvas bags that never see a grocery store and a library bag (given to me at the library) that has never been back since I took it home. And next week I do get to chill with someone as ridiculous as me :)

Yesssssss, bring all your ridiculousness, it’s mandatory :) And I don’t think to-do lists are created to get done, I think they’re created so we feel needed. I feel like if I ever complete my whole to do list I will simply die.

Spent the day baking (not done yet) and still have to read your paper (will get done, I promise)! Good thing I don’t check out Pinterest or I would never get everything done (because it does look funny and interesting). How come I have no kids at home and I don’t have a job right now and I still don’t finish my to-do lists (sorry, you may not want to hear that)? I have to buy shorter paper for my lists…maybe that will help.
