Double Chocolate Cookie Cookies

March 28, 2011 by Anna 10 Comments

I love Oreos, and even more I love President’s Choice brand Mr. Creamy cookies.  Not only is it fun to say to people, “Would you like a Mr. Creamy?“, they are also just yummier than Oreos…and cheaper too!

But perhaps they can be better?

What if we chop them up and use them alongside chocolate chips in a soft chocolate cookie?

Yes, that is what we should do.

Double Chocolate Cookies

If you don’t have Mr. Creamy handy, go find him today.  He makes good cookies.

Recipe type: Cookie
Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 cups crushed or chopped chocolate sandwich cookies (about ½ a standard box)
  • ⅓ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Add to creamed mixture, mixing until well combined. Fold in chopped cookies and chocolate chips.

Thank you, Fiona for the comment…I gain weight just looking at this and my baby is big, fat, and breastfeeding. There is an irony in this recipe Anna…buying cookies to make cookies? (:
