Last week we had the pleasure of hosting my parents for just over a week! It was the first time they’ve stayed with us, since we finally have a guest room habitable by guests, and we were thrilled. We didn’t bother to warn them about the 5:30 am wake up times, or the baby that still gets up sometime before that most nights, or the general volume level that accompanies life in our home…the love they get smothered with makes up for it, right?
As parents of all fairly-calm girls, the energy of our 4 boys takes some adjusting for these interpid grandparents – I told them that, like having a dog, you just have to get out for daily walks.
The stunning weather we’ve been having didn’t hurt either.
There is mini hockey to play.
Loud and wiggly four-year-olds to snuggle.
Dance parties to have.
Shopping to do.
And a sweet girl who loves to chat in the quiet before bed.
And there are always stories to take things down a notch…these kids could do this alllll day.
And we always need a picture in case someone has outgrown Grandma by the next time she visits…we’re getting there! (Not you, Kristopher ;))
Til next time <3

I’m sure the love more than makes up for the early mornings and volume – your home is always so welcoming and warm because of all the love!
What great pictures of a special time – love, love, love the one of you and your Dad. :)
