Despite forgetting all of Kristopher’s clothes and Gemma being so sick the first day we weren’t sure whether we should stay or go, our week of camping was a hit. The kids love it so much, and being completely out of touch with the rest of the world really does make for a unique kind of relaxation. I’ve yet to completely overcome my claustrophobia sleeping in the trailer, or my fear of the dark which eliminates any possibility of a nighttime bathroom trip, but I’m getting there…only one night of total sleeplessness at the campground, and only one night of residual nightmares and sleep talking upon returning home – definite progress ;)
We spent the cool mornings doing little hikes and playing at the playground directly across from our campsite, and spent every afternoon at the beach, a 2 minute walk from the campsite. The luxury of a clean lake and beautiful sunny skies never gets old.
By the next trip, I bet we’ll even get them all posing at the same time :)
