Happy Labour Day from my neeewwww laptop! I didn’t even remember what is was like to have a fully functioning screen at any angle, without mild electric shocks from the exposed wires resting on my rapidly overheating knee. I had forgotten it was possible to unplug a laptop and take it somewhere! Best back-to-school splurge ever :)
While Gemma and I prepare to go back to school this week, our littlest man is preparing to take the world by storm. Theo can stand and walk around most things now, and he is taking full advantage of this development. Between this and putting every errant small item in our house directly into his mouth, he is quite the full time job. I took these pictures over the course of a week, but I could just have easily taken them over the course of an hour. When I’m a little less worried he’ll manage to kill himself without direct supervision, I’ll take some pictures of my other kids again.
For the meantime, if anyone is doing anything on the coffee table, he is there.
If the laptop is involved, he’s even more determined.
If there’s a movie on, he’s busy trying to change the channel or increase the volume.
(I love Kristopher and Gemma’s faces in that picture, and the serious conversation they seem to be having :))
Sometimes he bakes and does some dishes before bed.
Is anyone using this house or can I take it?
He devours the latest news and discoveries with enthusiasm.
He can empty the dishwasher and the fridge art all in one move.
He laughs at those he conquers with a well-placed yank of the hair.
And no one’s leg hairs are safe.
But it’s quite impossible to be frustrated with someone who’s just so darn excited about his skills, even for the big sister most often having her playing plans disrupted. He is sure going to miss his attentive big sister when she’s at school.
So much love.
Have a great long weekend everyone!

Ha. We are in the same stage, gates up, on guard all the time. So much fun, if there is a cupboard we are opening it and closing it and opening….:-)
