This can be made ahead, covered, and frozen until you need it. Just take it out the night before you want it and put it in the fridge. Then cook as given in recipe.
To make gluten free, simply replace the regular pasta with rice lasagna noodles and make sure your pasta sauce is gluten free.
To cook from frozen: cook as directed, adding an additional 20 minutes to cooking time before removing foil and topping with shredded cheese.
