Serves: 6-8
Tender pork chops smothered with bacon, apple and onion make an easy, impressive meal any day of the week.
  • 6-8 pork chops
  • 6-8 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced or grated
  • 1 apple, peeled and finely diced
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Fry chopped bacon in large skillet. When about half cooked, add chopped onion and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes, or until bacon is fully cooked. Add apple and cook for 1 minute. Remove mixture to paper towel-lined plate, leaving a bit of bacon grease in the pan.
  2. Return pan to heat and place pork chops in the pan. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper and cook over medium heat for 6 minutes. Use tongs to flip pork chops, then cover them with the bacon mixture and cook another 3-5 minutes, depending on the thickness of your chops.
  3. Cover pan with foil and let rest off the heat for 5 minutes before eating.
