BACON WRAPPED MINI SAUSAGES

Ingredients
  • 1 package bacon
  • 1 package mini cocktail weiners
  • Your favourite BBQ sauce
Instructions
  1. Precook bacon to eliminate shrinkage: lay out bacon in a single layer on a foil-lined baking sheet. Put into cold oven, then turn oven on to 400 degrees. Set timer for 12 minutes, then remove bacon to paper towel to drain grease. Let cool before proceeding (this step can be done a day or two ahead of time).
  2. Wrap half a slice of bacon around each weiner. Arrange side by side on large baking sheet lined with foil. (If desired, make ahead and refrigerate for up to 2 days, then bake as directed).
  3. Bake at 425 degrees F for 13-15 minutes, until heated through and bacon edges are crispy.
  4. Squirt or spread BBQ sauce on serving platter, then top with hot bacon-wrapped weiners. Serve warm.
